Letter to God: About faith
Dear God,
I have lacked faith lately and didn't even know it.
I believe in You, pray, meditate, do volunteer work, read spiritual books that I find extremely helpful and I don't hide from the truth; so I thought I was in faith.
Lately, I have felt concerned about some issues and when that happens I know it to be my soul's call to action for I can rest inactive when I'm six-feet under. However, nothing I was doing felt "right," not wrong but not quite on "target".
Even at church last Sunday, I felt angry with those who claim You as their goodie-man, who claim to be Christians because they go to a Christian church, etc., and also act so unchristian.
Can anyone put a claim on God or Christ?
Is just reading a certain holly-book a passage to Christianity?
Really?
They attract followers by using lines such as pro-life; however, their stance is capricious and self-serving. Only pro-life-for-some-life for they turn a blind eye to the killings of minorities or poor, they advice to reload to kill whom they label trespassers i.e. "illegals" and "anchor" babies and don't even bat an eyelash for the killings in wars.
It just all feels so plastic.
In need of peace and truth this morning I picked up one of the books you have put in my hands, my ACIM (A Course In Miracles) book and there it was: thank you.
As you know for 29 years, I have read ACIM from the beginning to the end and just gone back to the beginning. Sometimes it takes me over a year, but I have no time set for it and don't make it a routine, just let myself be guided. Anyway, after several days of not reading it, for I am reading The art of Happiness (a great book) my next ACIM chapter started on page 342 on my Text, VII. The Call for Faith.
I was missing the main ingredient in my prayer, writing, etc.: Faith. Not the faith of arrogance because I hold some special place on top of religious belief or at the bottom of redemption but those that faith calls "meek" or to me the "teachable" not the know it all, for one cannot add anything to a full soul.
Amen.
Note: Here is one place that ACIM page 342, VII. The Call for Faith can be found: http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/A_Course_in_Miracles/Text/Chapter_17
Why are schools failing in America?
Some “blame” educators, others “parents” and “population” even some, such as Republicans, seem to blame “illegals” and of course “minorities” but that usually means “blacks”. Who and what is to blame stands to be seen but in my not so humble opinion few want to look at the real reasons and those I believe are:
1) We spend more on incarceration than education
2) Build more prisons than schools
3) Spend more on war than peace
4) Give more than we have
5) Hire outside the country for the best middle-class jobs or outsource them
6) Spending for schools is not equitable
7) Poor districts get a lot less then rich districts
8) The middle-class is eroding
9) The wealthy have more say, and options
10) Private schools are only a hook to evangelize
11) Communities don’t get behind all children
12) The wealthy are ok with having low wage uneducated workers
What do you think are the reasons?

War on privacy
Mr. Greenwald, this article and your article on “The Obama administration’s war on privacy” are a just right-wing "bunk" and why you have taken such a destructive position on the Obama administration is questionable.
If President Obama does not take a strong stance on things to do with protecting Americans, from terrorism, at a time of war he is demonized. If he does take a stance on the effects of a war, he did not start, and terrorism not instigated by him he is – according to your articles - a covert tyrant.
We are constantly cautioned by the Republican administration, the t-bagger movement, and bombarded with by Fox, that there is a definite move by our “enemies” to attack us again. Have you read and heard and seen such reports? If not I will be glad to direct you to them. That you are taking a stance towards dividing the Obama administration and acting as if there is nothing that the Obama administration can do to satisfy the media is just another attack by the right-wing media to discredit the President.
You Mr. Greenwald need to take another look at what you are saying. Have you heard the Republican constant threat at the President himself? Have you read on what is happening in the countries we are at war with?
I am frankly fed up with media making a dime ought of not enough and too much.

A political Ponzi scheme
Clinton's warning: Tea Party is a corporate front
A political Ponzi scheme that pays returns by raising unexpected candidates to the top? Angry at possible losses because of fair government? Paid for by investors, rather than by the people? Enticing by offering glory to keep the scheme going?
Republicans give the cuts to the middle.
Obama makes a tax cut threat
Haven't you heard? The t-party is wiping you out because the uppers went form millions to billions while most in the middle - 90% of the population and small businesses - closed shop, lost their homes, are jobless form big industry importing worker and exporting jobs, and going bankrupt from your financial gambling.

Fear of loosing the 'white power'
Why the GOP embraced Islamophobia
Balls of phobia's are spreading like wild fire over America and any Americans who don't fit the good old "white" profile are discriminated on. Fear of loosing the 'white power' is at the center of a tremendous culture resistance to all differences. Prejudice is gone hog wild as the 10% dysfunctional rule the masses.

Latino voters must not be swayed by a few Spanish words.
AFL-CIO NOW BLOG | California Latino Voters Say Fiorina ‘No Es Mi Amiga’
The new "n" word Republicans/t-gaggers/FOX have for Latins is "i" for "illegals" and for the children of Latins "anchor babies".
So very true and Latin Americans have a unique opportunity to make a great difference and "stay the course" with Obama - a president for the people, all the people, and by the people.
We must support his efforts and the efforts of his cabinet and the officials who have supported his very important changes.
The country is moving forward and changing direction. Nothing says it better than the revolt against him.
When leaders are feeding the fat cats movers and shakers are not pimping themselves to the lowest denominator to make a case against them. Because when the haves have nothing to oppose they are, like satisfied cats with full stomachs, licking themselves.
To let Republicans win now will be to the worst economic, moral, and social disaster ever.
We must stay the course and vote for those who will back the President into more change that is historic. Anonymous interests under bogus names support the Republicans, and they serve only special interest: not the people.

Obama attacks Republicans
Obama attacks Republicans for blocking jobs bill - Political Intelligence - A national political and campaign blog from The Boston Globe - Boston.com
Tell congress to stop blocking the job bill and not to hold the waning middle-class hostage so that their pundits can continue to dominate. What more do t-baggers/Republican/Fox-foamers want? We are already broken. Just because the politicians and their families continue to get their benefits no matter what is totally abusive. We should vote to take the salaries, and benefits form the politicians until they fix the mess they made. No, we are not victims but the big Republican brother and his bitches have screwed us.

More than ever ALL politician's salaries MUST be investigated.
Biloxi mayor reduces his salary by nearly $90k - WLOX-TV and WLOX.com - The News for South Mississippi
What are you politicians doing to help with your State’s budget? Hurray for Mayor Biloxi of Mississippi! He has a conscience unlike all the other politicians whose outrageous salaries are untouched by the economic mess they helped to create and the crooked deals that are raking havoc all over the country. If their salaries where forcefully dependant on the state of their State they would not be demonizing unions (that protect jobs), government workers (that hold them accountable) and importing workers with H-1B and the like visas and or outsourcing our jobs!
