SAD, Seasonal Affective disorder
On my Post-Polio email alert it says: "SAD has been associated with low vitamin D3. I take 5000units a day. I don't have SAD and I don't know if supplementing Vitamin D will help but it's cheap. Why suffer? If an antidepressant can help give it a try." POST-POLIO-MED@LISTSERV.ICORS.ORG
Since I started taking D3 1000 lamppost everyday (not prescribing just sharing) I feel and sleep better.

Can birds predict weather?
This article Feathered Forecasters brings to mind how our
cat used to be in her 'watching the door' wait position even fifteen minutes
before my husband walked in, even though his schedule varied.
In Anthropology,
there is evidence of and how people communicated in ancient days miles away
from a one another, even knew of a new birth without smoke signals or cell
phones.
There is ample evidence that "telepathy may be a clue to a
fundamental biological principle that has played a major part in the
evolution" as reported on a The Origin of Speech
In our family, we sense what's going
on with one another.
Here is an interesting article: Telepathy

A must see movie
"Spare Parts" is an essential movie for parents and young people to watch. Hope is the only light in this time when many feel hopeless; education is hard to get, and most parents don't have a trade that they can pass down to their sons or daughters.

To my Bill W. friends
Not a spokesperson for any group or person, just sharing my own experience, strength and hope.
Life can be overwhelming and the holidays can be specially hard, filled with memories and soemthimes regrets of "how it was" and "what happend," but if we keep working the program, "one day at a time," we can be grateful of "how it is now" becuase we have gone through a lot and now we have hope. Remember that "This Too Shall Pass" and all the holiday stuff is not going to last for ever.
Here are some words form Bill.
Reality
Moments of perception can build into a lifetime of spiritual serenity, as I have excellent reason to know.
Roots of reality, supplanting the neurotic underbrush, will hold fast,
despite the high winds of the forces which would destroy us, or which we would use to destroy ourselves.
- As Bill Sees It, p. 173
Thought to Ponder . . .
Few people have the imagination to see reality.

Do it your way
Comment regarding article: 7 Pieces of Wisdom From a 99U piece: Insights on making ideas happen by BÄ“hance
I studied dance and know that she learn what other had done before her and then created her own technique. I truly dislike people that critique the art of others and say that to get a piece sold, or become good, it must follow a certain format, pattern, formula; where is creation in copying someone else?

Does hate wash hate
They were once the dirty, lazy, deceased, demonic, dumb undesirables.
The Irish, Italians, Germans, the Asians, and others, all those were once the dirty races. So why is it so difficult to understand how most Latinos, Latinas, turn their backs on the immigration fight? Remember when the Cubans were the dirtiest and most unwanted? It does not matter how anyone came, those looking to give back the hate they or theirs once were given are giving it back to others. Most of the dreamers parents came to the US on work visas, or brought to work the fields, the factories, the kitchens, raise the children of the haters, and when the work was done instead of paying them their employers called la migra.
I did not come like that and that is why I don't hate.

Arrival in Paris
The flight was great, and it was exciting to be finally in Paris.
John called for the shuttle, and we waited over 40 minutes but that was not the worse of it. I was disappointed to see graffiti on the highway and traffic was bumper to bumper. It took over four hours to get to our hotel because of traffic and three other couples that the driver had to drop off first because they were on the way.
The hotel, I will never book a hotel in Paris that says quaint hotel *** and a three-star quaint is an old building and one star in the US. Henceforth I will book with known hotels chains but I wanted to get the feel of real Paris.
The good thing about the long ride is that as we got closer to our destination we got to see a lot of the beauty in Paris. Here are some photos of our arrival in Paris.

Quotes for thought
Three quotes I got today on email:
"The key is not to prioritize what is on the schedule, but to schedule your priorities." -- Stephen Covey, Author and Speaker
"If money is your hope for independence you will never have it. The only real security that a man will have in this world is a reserve of knowledge, experience, and ability." -- Henry Ford, Founder of the Ford Motor Company
"I pray for the willingness to let go of my arrogant self-criticism,
and to praise God by humbly accepting and caring for myself" - Daily Reflections, p. 324

Our flight to Paris
A few photos of our trip to Paris on Tahiti Air. Had never heard of Tahiti Air before and was leery about the great business class deal I found. The service included full dinner and breakfast, along with a lot of perks and toiletries, and the seats recline almost into a bed for a comfortable sleep. An excellent flight and very smooth. I sure learned how to book with miles and will share that with those that ask.

Realistic love
I am not perfect so I do not expect perfection from any other person. How can anyone ask for what they cannot give? Sober thinking and living is for all that don't wish to live under the juggernaut of emotional immaturity and instability. Was reminded of this value when I read today's meditation:
"Emotional Sobriety.
Those adolescent urges that so many of us have for top approval, perfect security, and perfect romance -- urges quite appropriate to age seventeen -- prove to be an impossible way of life when we are at age forty-seven or fifty-seven. Since AA began, I've taken immense wallops in all of these areas because of my failure to grow up emotionally and spiritually. My God, how painful it is to keep demanding the impossible, and how very painful to discover, finally, that all along we have had the cart before the horse! Then comes the final agony of seeing how awfully wrong we have been, but still finding ourselves unable to get off the emotional merry-go-round."

Have a product idea?
The patent process is not easy, but it is possible to file a Patent Pending for you idea on your own. The fees are reasonable, and instructions are available at the US Patent Office Site, and yes you can even ask questions.
A few years ago I had a suitcase idea and every time we traveled I wished I could use the idea my husband had drawn up on paper. After inquiries to attorneys and get rich quick on your idea sites, I decided to do it on my own. Asked friends and relatives and found some sites that offered advice, ultimately it came down to us going into the US Patent Office site-not as scary as you might think.
A year ago we did a Patent Pending with the guidance of someone who had done one before and shared expertise without charging us. We did all the work ourselves: typed the idea, made drawings, and explain the product — even gave examples and provided info on how ours differed from existing products. Filed the Provisional Patent, and this year I started to call companies that manufacture similar products and might be interested in our idea, being careful not to give it away.
A year later we have a company that requested documents and is now reviewing our invention but we need to file an extension, because a Patent Pending is only good, for 12 months, so I am back at the US Patent Office site.
It all sounds terribly time-consuming, but not if you take it in steps, and consider using what I called the SCM, swiss-cheese method that I taught at work. Take the project in chunks of tasks and time, and you might end up with a profitable product.
Here are some sites I found interested as I went back into the US Patent site: the AIA Roadshow starting in September-October 2014 http://www.uspto.gov/aia_implementation/roadshow.jspAmerica Invents Act Your guide to the law

Soon I will be posting form Europe!
I will not be posting daily as usual; I am busy editing and submitting some writing in addition to preparing for a month in Europe!
Thanks to the encouragement and support from our kids we will be traveling to Europe in October and returning in November. I will have iPad and iPhone and intend to write about our travels. Some places we will visit we didn't even know existed until writing VIRGINS took us there.
VIRGINS is an Urban Fantasy and a bit Paranormal Romance. Here I am proud to post the link to a news release about VIRGINS published by the Wildwood Literary Review, and encourage you to enjoy the wonderful writers featured in the WLR

Make your glob a blog.
"Ok don't panic, just keep reading and maybe print a few things, Rome was not built in a day and your blog mighty be a glob of words now but it might have the potential to serve you and others, so go forward and onward. Remember you learn by sharing and get by giving." This is what I told myself while reading this post on Jeff Bullas' site.
