Marta C Weeks is a writer and poet.
In childhood, Marta liked reading by a small barred window in an attic room lit by a ceiling strung lightbulb. As a polio survivor, she says “reading gave me wings as I dreamed of writing and dancing."
Became a professional dancer/choreographer and instructor. After ten years as a stay at home mom, worked for government agencies for decades, helping people achieve goals or overcome circumstances then into public relations and research analyst until, a few years ago, she unleashed her deep desire to write.
Some of her poems are published in The Scruffy Dog Review, Yoyita.com, Poetry for Conservation, Wildwood Literary Review, and Hello Poetry. Articles in CBS Sacramento Arts&Entertainment, Examiner.com and Ex-In the City Guides.
Studied writing at UCD, Gotham and Odyssey, completing SA, Craft Courses and at The University of Iowa, Power of the Pen. Is a member of Horror Writers Association., SavvyAuthors, RWA, CWC, PRG, Sierra Writers, Wildwood Literary Review, SheWrites and Sacramento Film Festival.

Marta lives in the Foothills of Northern California, coordinates a writers group and enjoys life with family, friends, nature and travel.
